Redbird is 'Winging It'

Redbird is rethinking ways to present unusual and difficult flight training topics by “Winging It.”

The simulator maker launched a new 10-part Web video series, dubbed “Winging It,” at the Sun 'n Fun International Fly-In and Expo in Lakeland, Florida. Each episode will present a challenge for host Brittney Miculka. The first episode will be familiar to Washington, D.C.-area pilots. Miculka learns how to fly in the Washington, D.C., Special Flight Rules Area with Aviation Adventures Owner Bob Hepp.

Redbird’s Charlie Gregoire said the company is looking to bring new training opportunities to people. “This is a great opportunity to learn something new at each location,” he said.

Miculka’s schedule has her doing a range of things that would make any pilot jealous. She’ll be flying an upset course with Red Bull Air Race pilot Michael Goulian, taking a mountain flying course, getting a second-in-command rating in a Citation Mustang, training as a flight nurse at Case Western Reserve University, and more.
