No gas, no problem
Electrically powered airplanes are coming, and some have already arrived from Slovenia, where Pipistrel, a manufacturer that has taken prizes for rising to the Green Flight Challenge, produces the Alpha Electro. The two-place, T-tailed, high-wing design could introduce many student pilots to flying without waiting for fuel trucks before each lesson. Powering up the airplane for flight, Pipistrel says, is "as simple as charging a mobile phone." Traffic pattern flying partially recharges the aircraft's batteries. EAA AirVenture in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, was an Alpha Electro spotting opportunity last month.
Final Exam
Question

The flight review regulation wording is very confusing. Is there an easy way to understand what "beginning of the 24th calendar month before the month" means?
Answer
Yes. Very simply, the month in which you completed the flight review is the same month it is due, but two years later. The endorsement is always valid through the last day of the month.

Did you know that student pilots who join AOPA are three times more likely to complete their flight training? Membership includes unlimited access to aviation information by phone (800-USA-AOPA, weekdays from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Eastern time) or from AOPA Online.
