Is declaring minimum fuel to air traffic control the same as declaring an emergency? |
| Answer |
No. By declaring minimum fuel, you are advising ATC that an emergency is possible should there be any undue delays. You can find this definition in Section 2-1-8 of FAA Order JO 7110.65X. ATC sees this advisory as a need for traffic priority.
