For my upcoming flight review, my instructor has assigned me a cross-country to plan by hand. Everything is going well, except that I can't remember whether VFR cruising altitudes are based on true or magnetic course. Where can I find the answer?
Answer
VFR cruising altitudes are based on magnetic course (see 14 CFR 91.159).
