I just found out that the emergency locator transmitter in my aircraft is inoperative and needs maintenance. Can I fly the aircraft without an ELT?
Answer
See 14 CFR 91.207(f) for the specific instances in which an ELT would not be necessary, or how long you can operate with it removed for repair or replacement.
