Game on
A tandem two-place aerobatic airplane with a noble design heritage and a newly issued FAA production certificate is being built by recently hired workers in a fresh factory in Arkansas—and the buzz around Bentonville's airport includes the sounds of new owners of 303-horsepower Gamebird GB1 airplanes being taught to fly them by the aerobatic pros at manufacturer Game Composites. The Gamebird GB1's designer, Philipp Steinbach, is a four-time German national aerobatic champion who formerly worked for Walter Extra, whose "EA"-prefixed aircraft models have long been flown by airshow performers.
Final Exam
Question

Is there a minimum time period a pilot must wait after failing a flight test before taking a retest?
Answer
No. There is no mandated waiting period specified in 14 CFR 61.49. However, the pilot must first receive the necessary training from an instructor who has determined that he or she is proficient to pass the test, and then must receive an endorsement from an instructor who provided that additional training.

This question and answer were provided by the aviation experts in AOPA's Pilot Information Center. Did you know that student pilots who join AOPA are three times more likely to complete their flight training? Membership includes unlimited access to aviation information by phone (800-USA-AOPA, weekdays from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Eastern time) or from AOPA Online.
