Tecnam's 'Twenty-ten'
Four seats and a 180-horsepower engine are not an uncommon formula for a metal-wing single-engine airplane. But now add glass-cockpit avionics, a stylish carbon-fiber fuselage that features a third cabin door (for the back-seaters), and a castering nosewheel to the design, and you have the basic layout of the model P2010 from Italian manufacturer Tecnam. The "twenty-ten" received its U.S. certification in 2015. With a 215-hp engine option and constant-speed propeller, it cruises at 146 knots. Spotting hint: Look for an all-flying horizontal tail, or stabilator—a Tecnam trademark.

Question

If I hand my pilot certificate to an FAA inspector when requested, does that mean I am surrendering it?
Answer
No. Surrendering a pilot certificate requires a signed statement from you, as specified in 14 CFR 61.27. After you hand your certificate to an FAA inspector for inspection, he or she will return it to you.
