I received a third class medical certificate two years ago, when I was 39 years old. Is that certificate valid for an additional one year or three years?
Answer
Your certificate is valid for an additional three years (60 calendar months in total) because you were younger than age 40 when it was issued (see 14 CFR 61.23(d)).
