Trescott is also the author of popular books on the operation of Garmin avionics and using GPS in the cockpit. And he hosts the Aviation News Talk podcast.

Once a technology executive based in California, Trescott took his interest in engineering and technology and brought it to the cockpit in the form of knowledge about advanced avionics.

Hangar Talk podcast co-host Ian Twombly sat down with Trescott to discuss his flying background, his books, and more. This conversation is part of the Flight Time series from Hangar Talk, where we revisit some of the most popular interviews for the Flight Training audience.
