Final Exam
Question

I am an instructor working with a 76-hour private pilot who has not flown in 30 years. I would like to let him solo so he can practice while we are working on his flight review. Is that possible?
Answer
In order to solo, since he is not a student pilot, he must first receive a successful flight review endorsement from you. When you are comfortable, however, you can give him the endorsement, and then he can solo and you can work on what you saw that needs improvement.

This question and answer were provided by the aviation experts in AOPA's Pilot Information Center. Did you know that student pilots who join AOPA are three times more likely to complete their flight training? Membership includes unlimited access to aviation information by phone (800-USA-AOPA, weekdays from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Eastern time) or from AOPA Online.
