First delivery of Excel Eagles

Phase Two to begin

CitationPartners, a firm that transforms older Cessna Citation Excels, announced that the first of its upgraded twinjets—dubbed Citation Excel Eagles—was delivered on June 25 to North Central Aviation of Blaine, Minnesota. The rejuvenated Excel comes with a Garmin G5000 avionics suite, and new interior and paint, among other improvements.

Six additional Eagles are under contract and are scheduled for delivery later in 2021. And a Phase Two of the Excel Eagle program, soon to be announced, has additional deliveries planned for 2022.

Greg Krantz, director of Operations for North Central Aviation, commented on its new Excel Eagle by saying, “The exceptional quality of the Eagle, combined with its airframe, engine, and APU support programs, have frankly exceeded our expectations. The process from day one was just like acquiring a totally new aircraft.”

AOPA detailed the Excel Eagle program in March.
