Airbus delivers first ACH130 Aston Martin Editions to US, Brazil

Aviation, sports car designers collaborated

Airbus Corporate Helicopters announced October 17 two more deliveries of a special edition of the ACH130 helicopter designed with Aston Martin. One of these was the first to a U.S. customer who, naturally, owns an Aston Martin sports car to go with the new Aston Martin Edition helicopter.

Both car and helicopter were on display during the National Business Aviation Association Business Aviation Convention and Exhibition at Executive Airport in Orlando, Florida. Airbus also announced that the first sale of the special edition to Latin America marks the seventeenth delivery worldwide since the model was introduced.

The ACH130 Aston Martin Edition is the product of a collaboration between the aeronautical designers at Airbus and the automotive designers at Aston Martin. It includes a range of luxurious interior and exterior comfort and style enhancements.

Airbus Corporate Helicopters has secured a growing share of the helicopter market in Brazil, up to 70 percent of private and business aircraft sold in the country, among 268 helicopters in service across Latin America.

The Aston Martin special edition was originally slated for 15 aircraft, but strong demand prompted the company to produce an additional 15.
