Theirs and hers

Brothers Mark and Mike Patey are pictured flying a Cirrus SR22 and Pilatus PC–12 over their home airport in Spanish Fork, Utah. Mark Patey told AOPA that he refers to these two airplanes as “theirs and hers” airplanes since the Cirrus is proudly claimed by his wife, Suzy. If you look close enough you can see “Suzy’s Cirrus” painted on the front of the aircraft. Their airplane is the Pilatus PC–12 affectionately named Perry, after the children’s television show character from Phineas and Ferb.

Images in the sea

The USS Arizona lies at the bottom of Pearl Harbor in Oahu, Hawaii. On December 7, 1941, the ship was hit by several bombs dropped by the Japanese, igniting an explosive-filled magazine onboard, sinking the battleship and killing 1,177 of its crew. Although a memorial is constructed over the wreckage, visitors can see down through the water. Oil still leaks from the hull, more than 80 years after the sinking.
