‘AOPA Pilot’ wins awards
Recognized for editorial excellence
The awards are presented to magazines in a variety of categories in two tracks—editorial and design. AOPA Pilot received the 2025 Eddie award for “Series of Articles: Association” for “Star Struck” (October 2024) and “Flying for Barbecue” (March 2025) by Senior Features Editor Julie Summers Walker and a 2025 Eddie for “Single Article: Association” for “Wings of the Iditarod” (November 2024) by Features Editor Alicia Herron.
AOPA Pilot was a finalist in several other 2025 award categories including editorial for full issue (November 2024); design for “A Very Special Day” (August 2024); design of a single issue (February 2025); and photography by AOPA Director of Photography Chris Rose in “Wings of Iditarod” (November 2024).
AOPA Pilot has been recognized in the Folio awards many times over the years. The annual competition receives entries from more than 125 magazines across the country. AOPA often competes with titles from AARP, National Geographic, and The Nature Conservatory.
