AOPA fly-in at Akron

Akron Fulton Airport (AKC) opened in 1929 and was designated as a U.S. military base. During World War II, Goodyear Aircraft constructed more than 4,000 Corsairs here. The Goodyear Airdock, which used to hangar for blimps and Zeppelins, is located at the airport.
