Tecnam introduces US leasing, financing program

AOPA Finance among providers

To make aircraft acquisition and ownership more affordable for prospective and existing U.S. customers, Tecnam introduced “new and enhanced leasing and financing solutions” designed for private owners and businesses in the country, according to a press release.

The Italian aircraft manufacturer has expanded its support for U.S.-based customers with a leasing and financing network that can be customized to match “operational needs, cash flow, tax considerations, and usage profiles” of individual pilots, flight schools, or fleets. To that extent, the company is partnering with U.S. leasing firms and financing providers, including AOPA Finance.

Under a lease arrangement, customers generally make smaller initial payments, and aircraft can be exchanged at prescribed intervals. Tax provisions in the One Big Beautiful Bill Act of 2025 restored 100 percent bonus depreciation, meaning buyers can deduct 100 percent of the asset's lifetime depreciation in the first year, a measure expected to stimulate aircraft purchases. Both leases and loans can be arranged to suit individual customer needs.

“By offering specialized leasing and financing solutions in the U.S., we are removing a key barrier to entry for prospective Tecnam owners,” said Tecnam Chief Sales Officer Walter Da Costa. “Our ambition is to make Tecnam aircraft not only a top technical choice but also a financially accessible one across all segments, from first-time private buyers to larger training or charter fleets.”

Founded in 1948 by Luigi and Giovanni Pascale, Tecnam’s headquarters are in Capua, Italy, with two subsidiaries in Sebring, Florida, and Brisbane, Australia. The company designs and builds aircraft for personal and commercial use, and other specialized operations including law enforcement.
