GE Aerospace said its Catalyst turboprop engine received FAA certification following a validation program that included more than 190 component tests on more than 23 engines. Garmin said the FAA has certified Runway Occupancy Awareness, or ROA, the company’s software system that uses ADS-B traffic monitoring to alert pilots to potential runway incursions by aircraft on the ground or flying nearby, and ground vehicles.
