February Flight School Connector to discuss key performance indicators
The February 3 AOPA Flight School Connector webinar will feature a discussion about key performance indicators—determining the best ones for your flight school. The Flight School Connector is a gathering of school owners and managers to learn, share, and problem solve the specific challenges of running a successful flight school. Meetings typically feature a short presentation followed by an open forum where participants ask questions, share ideas, and offer advice. The program will be held at noon Eastern on February 3. Presidential flight restrictions updated
Future visits to his home state by President Joe Biden will prompt temporary flight restrictions in Delaware centered on two possible destinations: one around Wilmington, and another around Rehoboth Beach. When active, both locations would affect operations at several local airports.

Pilots: Plan on Florida Super Bowl restrictions
Pilots can stay out of the Super Bowl limelight by adhering to FAA airspace protocols in place for the February 7 game at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida. Special air traffic procedures will be centered on Tampa from February 3 to 9—well ahead of the 6:40 p.m. Eastern time kickoff—that could affect VFR and IFR arrivals and departures, and a 30-nm temporary flight restriction will be in place over the stadium.
CDC releases interim guidance for flying people with COVID
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention acknowledges that there are instances when someone who has COVID-19 must be transported by air, such as when medical care is not available in the person's area. In those cases, the CDC has outlined procedures for safely flying the passenger.

Helicopter pilot Dennis Martin joins the AOPA Air Safety Institute’s Richard McSpadden to talk about an incident he had had after departing the AOPA Fly-In at Carbondale, Illinois, in 2018.
