Flight Training Experience Survey closes July 15

Get your customers to vote

AOPA’s Flight Training Experience Survey closes July 15 at noon Eastern time. There’s still time to get your customers to participate. Why should you encourage them to talk about the training they receive from your business?

The Flight Training Experience Survey is an incredible opportunity to get valuable feedback from your customers. You’ll find out what you’re doing right—or which areas might need improvement.

The survey is a chance to get national recognition for the services you provide. It’s a way to get more customers—because they seek out the winning schools, whose high scores represent the best of the best in the Flight Training Excellence Awards.

What’s more, when you ask your customers to rate your flight instructors and your business, that sends a clear message that you want to improve their training experience. It shows clients you value them. Your clients become more invested in your flight school and your flight instructors.

And this year we have new incentives. Regional winners will receive a Zulu 3 headset, compliments of Lightspeed. The national and regional winners in individual and flight school categories will be named during Redbird Migration in October on a date to be announced. The awards format will either be a virtual presentation or a limited in-person event to be streamed online.

Every individual who participates in the survey will be eligible to win one of 21 prizes:

  • One-year Pilot Express subscription, courtesy SiriusXM ($360 value);

  • One 12-month membership in Sporty’s Flight Crew at the Platinum Level ($300 average retail value);

  • PilotWorkshops Real World VFR program on flash drive ($149 retail value);

  • $150 gift card to Aircraft Spruce;

  • ProTech laptop backpack filled with a packing cube set, blanket, and mug from the AOPA Pilot Gear Store (estimated value of $200)

  • Rental certificate (day coupon) from Avis ($50 per certificate approximate value)

  • Aviator flight bag from Jeppesen (estimated value $50)

  • Free title search package from AeroSpace Reports (includes FAA title search, accident-incident reports, and PDF copies of all airworthiness and registration documents on file with the FAA (valued at $135).

As you may recall, we didn’t post the Flight Training Experience Survey in 2020. Flight schools and pilots were going through it with the coronavirus pandemic, and we didn’t want to add pressure onto those challenging circumstances. Instead, we sought stories of how and where aviation inspired us, how it demonstrated resilience in the face of adversity, and how it highlighted the flight training community’s contributions to aviation and to communities at large. We shared some of the stories during our presentation at the 2020 Redbird Migration, in social media, on AOPA’s digital platforms, and in AOPA’s magazines. View the video here.
