Do you need a quick formula for converting Celsius to Fahrenheit? If you're in a pinch and have no precise means of converting temperatures, try this method. It was given to me by fellow CFI, Bob Crystal.
Step 1: Double the Celsius value (15 + 15 = 30)
Step 2: Add 30 to this number (30 + 30 = 60)
15 degrees Celsius is approximately 60 degrees Fahrenheit (59F to be exact).
Within the typical range of temperatures you're likely to use, the error should only be a few degrees. Remember, this is only an approximation to be used when you have no other means of converting.
