Radio Aids to Navigation

On sectional charts, information about radio aids to navigation appears in a box adjacent to the navaid's symbol. Low-frequency navaids, such as nondirectional beacons, are shown in magenta (purple) and high-frequency navaids, such as VORs and VORTACs, are shown in cyan (blue).

The navaid's name is inside the box, centered at the top. The example is the Florence, South Carolina, VOR. Below the name, reading left to right, are the navaid's frequency (115.2 MHz), Tacan (tactical air navigation system, the military version of the VOR) channel, three-letter identifier, and the Morse code for that identifier.
