AOPA Flight Training home page features

The dog ate your new issue. You've been meaning to read that feature story about go-arounds published in August (of last year) but you never got around to it. You're planning a hop to a field with a short strip, and you want to review everything we've published about short-field landings. The AOPA Flight Training home page on AOPA Online is here to help.

At one handy URL (www.aopa.org/flight_training/) you can click through to view the covers and tables of contents of recent issues, and AOPA members - including those with free six-month introductory memberships - can peruse the archives for the complete text of articles going back to 1994. You can view a month-by-month index, or you can plug keywords into our new, more robust search engine to hunt for a specific subject, author, or title. (In fact, you can use the improved search functionality from virtually any page within AOPA Online.)

That's not all. You'll also find a link to each Web address referenced in the most recent issues, saving you the time and hassle of typing in those often-unwieldy URLs yourself. AOPA Flight Training advertisers' Web sites can be accessed from the same page.

Here's another reason to hang on to this URL: online resources for student pilots and CFIs. Whether you sit in the left seat or the right, one click takes you to a comprehensive index of publications, Web sites, and reference materials chosen specifically for you.

Finally, the page offers an assortment of articles and online features from our sister publication, AOPA Pilot. "Never Again Online," "Ounce of Prevention," and "In-Flight Emergencies" are among the items to pique your interest no matter what your piloting level.

Bookmark www.aopa.org/flight_training/ for fast and easy access to all of these features. If there's something that you think would be a useful addition to this page, drop us an e-mail.
