"Eyes on the Skies," May 17, 2003, 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., will salute America's air traffic control team and "Potomac Approach," the new Potomac Consolidated Tracon at Vint Hill, Virginia.
The Washington Airports Task Force in inviting AOPA members to to participate in this by-invitation-only event. Cost to cover food and event facilities is $40.
The event is informal and will bring together air traffic control staff from across the region with their customers—pilots—as well as business, civic, and elected leaders. AOPA members will be able to tour the facility—currently the most advanced of its kind in the world—and fly a training simulator for the Wright brothers' airplane.
Aviation notables are expected to include Senator John Glenn.
