A bill that could improve Nevada's general aviation airports is now moving forward in the state legislature. AOPA and the Nevada Airport Managers Association have been working together to see the introduction of Senate Bill 340, which calls for the study of the needs of rural airports. It also would appropriate $1 million from the state's general fund for the "enlargement, improvement, or maintenance of rural airports, landing areas, or air navigation facilities."
AOPA also will be working with the legislature to make sure that no additional taxes are imposed on aviation users in the state.
