Pilots flying in South Carolina and Georgia are cautioned to look out for high-speed, low-flying military aircraft during a series of training exercises. The FAA has issued a notam for aircraft flying within a 20-nautical-mile radius of Savannah, Georgia, and Beaufort or Ridgeland, South Carolina. The operations will be conducted outside charted special-use airspace boundaries in the Savannah area. There will be numerous helicopter flight operations below 500 feet agl and military jets doing rapid climbs and descents below 10,000 feet. The exercises will be taking place from 10 a.m. on July 25 until 11 p.m. on August 8.
