City pledges support for small Oklahoma airport
Amid reports from AOPA members that Medford Municipal in Medford, Oklahoma, might be threatened with closure, AOPA wrote city officials, reminding them of grant obligations that require the airport to remain open. "AOPA members can put their concerns to rest," said AOPA Vice President of Airports Bill Dunn. "I have spoken with Medford City Manager Dea Kretchmar, and she confirmed that the city has no intentions of closing the airport and will continue to strongly support its operation."
