Despite opposition from AOPA, Redlands Airport Support Network volunteer Robert Pearce, and other aviation industry professionals, the Redlands City Council this week approved a proposal that will put 81 homes just 2,000 feet from Redlands Municipal Airport. "We're disappointed that city leaders failed to realize the impact of building a residential development next to a thriving general aviation airport," said Bill Dunn, AOPA vice president of airports. "AOPA will oppose any effort to restrict operations at the airport that the continued development could cause."
