FAA allows more GPS direct routing for Florida pilots

FAA allows more GPS direct routing for Florida pilots

Navigation has gotten easier for pilots who have IFR-certified GPS receivers and fly in the Jacksonville, Florida, area. The FAA previously approved the creation of five Area Navigation IFR Terminal Transition Routes (RITTRs) through that airspace. The FAA recently went back and altered one route, T-210, to allow more direct routing through Jacksonville. It becomes effective June 8. AOPA has been pushing for these direct routes through terminal airspace for five years. Routes already exist in Charlotte, North Carolina, and Cincinnati Class B airspace.
