In an effort to protect general aviation pilots from live fire and unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), AOPA has submitted comments to the Army on its proposed live fire training area near Delta Junction, Alaska. AOPA is concerned that mixing two important GA corridors with live fire and UAVs would affect safety. AOPA has recommended that the Army pursue Alternative 4, which would completely contain operations in current restricted airspace. The comment deadline has been extended to May 18. For more information, download AOPA's letter or see the Army's proposal.
