Project Pilot

Do you have an AOPA Project Pilot success story? If so, let us know, and you could land in AOPA Pilot, AOPA ePilot, or even a vintage aircraft! Carl Potter did and got all three. Potter, who earned his wings with help from AOPA Project Pilot Mentor Craig Kitch, logged 30 minutes in a North American B-25 Mitchell last week in Austin, Texas, during a special flight with the Collings Foundation. Potter had missed the final flight of the day, but Rob Collings arranged for him to get a flight (for a small donation) after learning that Potter was a new private pilot who had been highlighted as a Project Pilot success story in the April 2007 edition of AOPA Pilot. For a shot at being featured in AOPA Pilot, send Managing Editor Julie Walker a story about an unusual aircraft you've flown, place you've flown to, or person you met because of participating in AOPA Project Pilot. Also, send your photos, videos, or success stories to [email protected].
