The Army will be conducting low-altitude aerial training exercises in the Seattle area from Tuesday, March 13, through Friday, March 23.
The training will involve helicopters and fixed-wing aircraft and will typically be conducted after dark. While the FAA is not restricting access in Seattle, it is advising pilots to avoid flying in the area. AOPA has mapped out the training route for pilots.
Potentially affected airports are Strom Field (39P), Chehalis-Centralia (CLS), Willapa Harbor (2S9), R. & K. Skyranch (8W9), Western Airpark (92W), Spanaway (S44), and Shady Acres (3B8). Pilots should check the notam for complete details, including contact information for coordinating flights along that route.
