Catch the Cardinal's new interior
We've finished installing the new interior on AOPA's 2007 Catch-A-Cardinal Sweepstakes airplane in Alva, Okla., but the story started much earlier this year, when we had the front seats reupholstered by Aerodesigns Aircraft Interiors. Follow the progress we've made on this week's update, as we go back to one March morning when two enthusiastic interior experts showed up at the hangar in Georgia with a Jeep and an eye on the 1977 Cessna Cardinal's old blue seats. You may get a chance to preview the new interior as we fly the airplane back to Georgia from Alva next week.
