Military to provide public meeting on Maine MOA proposal

It's your last chance to hear directly from the Air National Guard and voice your concerns in person about its military operations area (MOA) proposal before the public comment period closes. The military wants to combine the footprints of Condor 1 and 2 MOAs in western Maine and lower the floors to 500 feet agl. AOPA has been actively working with the FAA and military, advocating for safer and more effecient use of existing military airspace in the region. The meeting will take place from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, July 11, in the Olsen Student Center at the University of Maine's Farmington, Maine, campus. The comment period ends July 15.
