'Private Planes' episode airs June 12 on History Channel
As reported in the "AOPA Action" pages of the June AOPA Pilot magazine, the "Private Planes" episode on History Channel's Modern Marvels series airs June 12 at 10 p.m. Eastern time (check local listings).
AOPA worked with California-based producer Martin Kent to include more "everyday" general aviation beyond a focus on today's business jet boom. Interviewed for the program and supplying background information and video, the AOPA Communications Division was allowed to comment on the resulting script for accuracy and balance. Among interviews expected to air are Bombardier officials in Canada, industry observers in Wichita, Aviation Week and Space Technology reporter Ed Hazelwood, and AOPA Senior Vice President of Communications Drew Steketee.
