AOPA urges pilots to be on high alert during Super Bowl

Don’t risk making a mistake that draws negative media attention to the general aviation community. Security measures and temporary flight restrictions will be in place before, during, and after the Super Bowl. Read the FAA’s letter to airmen and flight advisory. Check notams before flight because TFRs will be in effect for much of the day. Airport security is of the utmost importance, so lock your aircraft and hangar, and report any suspicious activity. Follow the special security procedures in place at your airport, and practice the tips in AOPA’s Airport Watch Program and online course, General Aviation Security.
