Government officials have a lot on their minds, so if you want them to focus on the issues that matter to you, you need to start by getting their attention. The second Missouri State Aviation Day, held at the capitol in Jefferson City, did just that, and AOPA seized the opportunity to seek more money for airports. At the Feb. 20 event, Joey Colleran, AOPA manager of state legislative affairs, and Bob Dickens, AOPA Midwest regional representative, talked to legislators about three measures that would make more money available for airports by raising or eliminating the cap on the state’s aviation fund.
