AOPA Online Web site lists aircraft for sale and partners wanted
Brokers and dealers list inventories for aircraft shoppers

Few AOPA members even know that the AOPA Online Web site offers free listings for those looking to buy or sell aircraft, or searching for aircraft partnerships, flying clubs, aviation services, and flight instruction opportunities.

AOPA members may post "aircraft for sale," "aircraft wanted," and "partnerships wanted" notices free of charge.

Newly added is AOPA's Broker/Dealer Program, which allows qualified aircraft brokers and dealers to list their inventories of new or used aircraft for sale.

More than 100 brokers and dealers are now using the program. Participating are some of the industry's best-known names, including Cutter Aviation, Barron Thomas, Stancil Aviation Enterprises, Cav-Air, Inc., and Sherman Aircraft Sales.

This year alone, more than 112,000 visitors have reviewed the brokers' and dealers' listings. Nearly 100 aircraft worth over $14.4 million have been sold as a direct result of their listing in the Broker/Dealer section of AOPA Online.

"Some 24 aircraft sold in 21 days just in March alone," reported Steve Woodard, AOPA Aircraft Sales Assistance Program representative.

The AOPA service assists brokers and dealers by increasing the visibility of their offerings, and by facilitating financing and title and escrow services for buyers and sellers.

The listings for brokers and dealers are currently free of charge. Photos of sale aircraft are often available. Users can search for available aircraft by state; by dealer or broker name; and by aircraft model, flight hours, and price range.

Listings posted by AOPA members include antique/classic; homebuilt; production single, multiengine and turbine aircraft; rotorcraft; seaplanes; ultralights; warbirds; and others. Also offered are listings for engines, instruments, kitplanes, unfinished kits, props, interiors/painting, legal services, maintenance, and real estate.

Flight instructors and flight schools may also post their availability in the AOPA classifieds area. Flight instructor offerings can be searched by ratings or specialty. Flight schools post help-wanted ads to find CFIs seeking employment.

The site merely acts as a venue for sellers of aircraft and other aviation-related products and services. AOPA does not screen or endorse any listing, service provider, or aircraft offering.
