O'Sullivan has over 16 years experience in marketing, sales, product management, business development, and strategic planning at several firms, including Bell Atlantic and Shell Oil.

At Phillips Publishing (the nation's largest newsletter publisher), he spearheaded marketing and editorial content for several business-related offerings including Business Breakthroughs and Lead and Succeed newsletters. He also managed a number of large-circulation investment newsletters there.

As director of marketing at Filetek, Inc., he directed marketing planning, training, and lead generation for the software technology firm specializing in data warehousing.
