Message in lights

Roger Caram-Andruet, manager and chief pilot for SkySpot Advertising LLC, is donating his night aerial advertising to AOPA at Sun ’n Fun this week in Lakeland, Fla.

Caram-Andruet will fly his specially equipped Cessna 172, which scrolls lighted messages under the wing and fuselage, Tuesday and Thursday night of the fly-in. On Tuesday he will advertise AOPA President Craig Fuller’s speech at the AOPA Pavilion, which takes place on Thursday, April 23, at 6:30 p.m.; and on Thursday he will advertise AOPA Day, which takes place Friday, April 24.

The night advertising was a hit at last year’s Sun ’n Fun event. “It’s pretty cool to look up into the night sky and see your message in lights,” said an AOPA spokesperson.
