Breiling issues 2008 business turbine accident review

Robert E. Breiling Associates has published its 2008 review of business jet, turboprop, and turbine helicopter accidents. The 500-page comprehensive review contains synopses of 245 fixed-wing accidents and 180 helicopter accidents; 77 non-U.S. business jet and turboprop accidents are also identified by aircraft and operator.

The review identifies potential accident/incident cause factors, and includes statistical charts and tables comparing accident rates of corporate, business, fractional, and air taxi operations with those for air carriers. Single-pilot versus dual pilot, flight experience, and positioning versus passenger flight comparative data is also analyzed. Many consider Breiling’s annual accident reviews the most authoritative when it comes to turbine operations.

Price of the business jet and turboprop sections—excluding helicopters—of the review is $325. The jet, turboprop, and helicopter version is $375. The turbine helicopter report is $250. To order any of the review sections, contact Breiling Associates at rbeiling@bigplanet.com, call 561/338-6900, or fax 561/393-9127
