Heli-Success 2009 is a two-day career development seminar and networking event scheduled for Oct. 18 and 19 in Las Vegas.
Sponsored by Bell Helicopter, the event is intended for career helicopter pilots and mechanics to meet hiring authorities face to face. The seminar is also designed to offer helicopter industry professionals, who may be in a transition phase of their career, an opportunity for learning and networking. Those who are looking for inside information that may give them that competitive edge in the helicopter industry hiring process will benefit as well.
The seminar will include topics such as the status of the helicopter industry, helicopter pilot and mechanic salaries, unions, developing a professional attitude, writing resumes, and many other industry-specific topics. During the two days, eight speakers from the helicopter industry and the FAA will address these topics and more.
According to the event’s organizer, Lyn Burks, “The overriding theme behind this educational event is to give the up and coming or transitioning pilots and mechanics in our industry a glimpse into the real world of working helicopters.”
