AVLogbook version 2.0 released

Alphavictor, maker of AVLogbook, announced this week that it released version 2.0 of the company’s Web-based logbook. Version 2.0 is designed to be faster and offer more features than the previous version, said company CEO Bruce Micek.

The logbook offers myriad features, including pulldown menus for maneuvers completed during the flight, autofill of flight times, a cross-country distance calculator, and all other applicable flight time parameters. AVLogbook also monitors all pilot flight time currencies, as well as medical, pilot certificate, and passport information.

Micek said he designed the logbook to be useful for student pilots up through professionals. That’s apparent in the ability for CFIs to automatically crossfill their information with the student’s, and for professionals to automatically bill clients based on logbook entries.

Membership to the logbook is free for the first 30 days, and then a one-time fee of $125 applies if the user decides to purchase the service.
