Owners who desire a large, full color electronic engine monitor but don’t think they have the space for it, should check out the new J.P. Instruments EDM-730/830.
The monitor features a four-inch by three-inch color display, but doesn’t require panel modification because the back is a standard three-inch round section that fits into a pre-existing instrument hole. The new engine monitor can also rotate in any direction, making it mountable in any direction from the connections.
J.P. Instruments says the new monitor is a simple plug-and-play swap from its older displays, and offers the same information with the addition of oil pressure. The same approved model list from the EDM-700/800 series also applies to the EDM-730/830.
Also new from J.P. Instruments is a twin-engine version of the large EDM-930. The EDM-960, as it’s called, is a six-inch by five-inch color LCD display that is certified as a replacement for an airplane’s legacy engine gauges.
