Wicks to offer homebuilder resources

Wicks Aircraft Supplies, a 35-year-old catalog company that services homebuilders, is planning to expand its offerings, the company said May 19. Known as a place for everything from aircraft plans and wood to pitot tubes and propellers, the company will become more of a one-stop shop for homebuilders.

Beginning soon, Wicks will be offering seminars for homebuilders, developing toolkits and starter kits for various types of materials, and expanding its Web site to include chat rooms and expert advice on such topics as the differences between kit building and scratch building.

“We’ve always kept it kind of low key, but that’s about to change,” said Scott Wick, son of company founder Martin Wick. “Wicks is eager to draw new and younger people into the world of homebuilt aircraft.”

As always, Wick’s catalog is free with any order.
