AOPA says "thank you" to those who serve
May 31, 2004 - This Memorial Day, AOPA pauses with the rest of the country to pay tribute to the men and women who have served and are serving in all branches of the United States military.
"Through our history, more than one million Americans have died fighting to preserve freedom," said AOPA President Phil Boyer. "We are forever grateful for their sacrifice. We will never forget that their efforts are why Americans enjoy the freedoms we do, including our freedom to fly."
