AOPA's Real-Time Flight Planner, showing latest campaign TFR information. |
Update: May 4, 2004, 9:26:41 a.m. EDT - President Bush's two-day bus tour wraps up in Ohio today. He's in Toledo this morning then flies to Dayton, where a series of 30-nm-radius temporary flight restrictions along with a moving 10-nm-radius TFR that is centered on the motorcade will go into effect starting at 10:45 a.m. local time.
He'll take a break from the bus tour during the middle of this week, then resume on Friday with a tour from Dubuque, Iowa, to La Crosse, Wisconsin. The notam for that trip has not yet been published but is expected to be every bit as complex as the two for yesterday and today in Michigan and Ohio.
Because of the fluid nature of a campaign tour and the possibility of extremely short notice changes, pilots are strongly urged to check notams at the last possible moment before departure.
