AOPA's Real-Time Flight Planner shows areas affected. |
May 7, 2004 - President Bush is on the campaign trail in Iowa and Wisconsin today. He'll leave from Dubuque, Iowa, ending up in La Crosse, Wisconsin. Temporary flight restrictions will include three of the now-familiar 30-nm-radius restrictions, as well as a 10-nm-radius no-fly zone that will be centered on the President's motorcade, whether it's moving or stopped. The first of the TFRs became active at 8:45 a.m. local. The last is scheduled to end at 7:30 p.m. local.
Because of the fluid nature of a campaign tour and the possibility of extremely short notice changes, pilots are strongly urged to check notams at the last possible moment before departure.
