One voice: GA unites at Summit

What makes general aviation such a vital part of the nation’s economic and transportation infrastructure? Find out from the leaders of top aviation organizations representing pilots, aircraft owners, women, manufacturers, businesses, FBOs, and others.

These leaders will join AOPA President Craig Fuller on Thursday, Nov., 5 from 9 to 9:45 a.m. to kick off AOPA Aviation Summit with a frank discussion of the issues that affect the future of general aviation.

Experimental Aircraft Association President Tom Poberezny, Women in Aviation International President Peggy Chabrian, National Air Transportation Association President Jim Coyne, National Business Aviation Association President Ed Bolen, General Aviation Manufacturers Association President Pete Bunce, and Aircraft Electronics Association President Paula Derks will discuss their hopes for general aviation for the next three years, while addressing controversial issues such as user fees, aviation security, and NextGen.

Fuller will moderate the panel and ask the leaders about ways to increase the number of youth and young women being introduced to aviation, ways businesses use GA to increase their productivity, and aviation manufacturers’ expectations regarding the economic recovery. The group also will discuss the unprecedented cooperation between the major aviation organizations on initiatives designed to overcome the challenges of today and tomorrow.

Members of the audience also will have an opportunity to ask questions of the panelists.
