Carve time out of your AOPA Aviation Summit schedule to kick back, laugh, and learn how to become a better pilot with aviation humorist Rod Machado. Machado, who has accumulated quirky stories during his decades of teaching people how to fly, will share his insight in “Aviation Humor” on Friday, Nov. 6, from 11 a.m. to noon, in Rooms 13, 14, and 15 in the Tampa Convention Center.
AOPA members have come to love Machado’s tales each year at the association’s annual convention and each month in his AOPA Pilot column. Machado also is a columnist for AOPA Flight Training. Because of his passion for flight instruction, Machado also will dedicate time at Summit specifically to student pilots and those interested in learning to fly. Who better to give prospective pilots an introduction into aviation?
If you know a student pilot or someone who is interested in learning to fly, bring him or her to Summit. Machado will be available in the exhibit hall’s AOPA Learn to Fly Center from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 5, and he’ll give away an autographed copy of Rod Machado’s Private Pilot Handbook to the first 25 students who visit the booth. He’ll also host a “Learning to Fly” forum from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 6, and from 2 to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 7, in Ballroom A. Plus, he’ll be available to answer questions in the meet-up area of the exhibit hall from 12:30 to 1 p.m. on Saturday.
Register you and student or prospective pilot for AOPA Aviation Summit today! This event could be the start of a life full of flying for fun or a career for someone you know.
