Hartzell gets STC for Cessna 210sHartzell gets STC for Cessna 210s

Hartzell PropHartzell Propeller Inc. has received FAA approval for a supplemental type certificate that covers new three-blade propellers installed on Cessna’s pressurized P210N (1978-84) and turbocharged T210F-N (1966-84) models.

Installation of the Hartzell model HC-J3YF-1RF/F8068, 82-inch diameter Scimitar three-blade prop on the Cessna T/P210 series typically offers a one- to three-knot increase in cruise speed, and a 4-percent decrease in time to climb to 23,000 feet, when compared to the originally-installed McCauley C402 3-blade.

Available through Hartzell’s Top Prop program, the 2010 list price for the kit with a polished spinner is $10,500. The prop is also available with a 28-volt de-ice kit at an additional cost.
